Gouda, Cheddar, Best Never Let It Rest Make Your Gouda Cheddar and Your Cheddar Best

So anyway, where were we?

It's been awhile. I've noticed that sometimes blogging is at the top of my list of Things I Want To Do and sometimes it slides down to the very last spot, until it slowly crawls back up and becomes number one again. And by that time, it's less about wanting to blog and more about remembering that blogging is good for my sanity. Incidentally, blogging is also good for my insanity.

I also haven't checked Facebook for awhile, will you excuse me while I do?

Oh boy that was a mistake. I ended up looking up people I used to know. Like that Gotye song except nobody was naked (unfortunately/fortunately). Also, I'm trying to be a good Christian but those Farmville invites make me think less of folks. Also, if I were trying to be a good Christian would I want to see other people naked? OH MY GOSH THIS IS SO HARD.

Listen, I feel like I am making this up but maybe I'm not, do people eat cheese soup? Straight up cheese soup? No potatoes or broccoli? Just cheese soup? I guess I could logistically make broccoli soup and just omit the broccoli. I like broccoli, for the record, like most good Christians do. But I live with some people who have, shall we say, a complicated relationship to most holy vegetables.

Velveeta is NOT Christian. When I say cheese soup I mean cheddar, Gouda, Gruyere. Don't make me spell this out for you.

This is what happens when I go too long without blogging. Do I feel sluggish to you?

Another thing: our hard drive failed. Chup says most people call it "hard drive crash" but I wanted to make certain I used the correct term. I have all these geeky types that read my blog--gotta show up, if you know what I mean. We were able to save almost everything, so all those Jed Wells head shots I took that one year are safe (you can relax). But you know what we did lose? Some rare music files I have collected over the years. "Vintage" Imagine Dragon tracks. That hurts. You know?

And as a testament to my Christian form, I feel like I was forewarned about those tracks. I actually woke up in the middle of the night for a few months feeling like I needed to back up my "vintage" Imagine Dragons tracks on a cd. BUT I DIDN'T LISTEN and now they're gone.

But I also took this photo today at the church where I was decorating for a Relief Society Christmas dinner, so on the scale of my personal righteousness I guess you win some and you lose some.

So how about you? You like broccoli?
