How many years does it take to start a tradition? Because this is the fourth straight year we're beyond ecstatic to close out our Rooftop Concert Series season with the folk/bluegrass/gospel/americana sounds of The Lower Lights. And it's starting to feel like a pretty official tradition. Come stomp goodbye to our 2013 season and see why we keep bringing back The Lower Lights and their joyful noise.

You'll also get to hear the fresh indie folk-rock of Parlor Hawk, fresh off a sold-out release show at Velour.

Oh, and we're also bringing back The National Parks, who got bumped from July's Rooftop show by Mother Nature (which is kind of poetic if you consider the name of the band) and whose debut album debuted in the Top 20 on iTunes. Come enjoy a gorgeous fall night and help us shut it down until next May.

Where should we eat before the concert? There are over 50 restaurants in the downtown area! And so many of them are delicious and award-winning. See here for well-designed comprehensive list.

*Please note: there will no outside food and drink in the Marriott Center ballroom but there will be some beverages and snacks for sale inside the hotel.

What else is going on in downtown Provo on Friday? Thanks so much for asking. The Rooftop Concert Series is a part of the First Friday's Downtown initiative and we share the evening with the Downtown Provo's Art Stroll. This month is the ever-popular ART CHASE. Participants may enter to win the ultimate downtown Provo date night: $75 to Communal, Tickets to a show at Covey, and a one night stay at the Marriott.
Also, the newly moved and renovated Echo Theater (15 N. 100 E.) is opening with THE WOMAN IN BLACK this weekend. We wish our Echo Theater friends a successful opening weekend and a long, prosperous stay in their new location.

Who can we thank for keeping the show free?
Our sponsor this month is THEHOMESCOOP.COM

"As a non-traditional agent I don't consider myself a salesman, but a customer relations & marketing expert. If you're a buyer, you shouldn't be sold on anything! You should get expert help to find the coolest place you can in your desired price range, and then get it for the best price and have the smoothest experience possible. If you're a seller, your home needs to stand out, get more attention than other competing homes, and sell for the highest price. This is only possible with a marketing expert who is as invested as you are in selling, and selling with your goals in mind, not their own. Visit TheHomeScoop.com to read what others had to say about working with me! Rock on Provo."

Thanks Aaron and The Home Scoop Team!

Thinking about being a sponsor for next year?
Great idea! Email us at: sponsor@rooftopconcerts.com

How do we keep the show free moving forward?
At this concert we will be passing around large donation buckets. They have to be large enough to fit all that cash, change and currency our generous fans donate. Please consider donating at this show. It means a lot to us and keeps the doors open for the community. Thank you!

Will this concert be streamed live?
Due to our location change, the concert will not be streamed live. But it will be available to view (wonderfully edited and polished) next Friday on the Channel 17 website under MISCELLANEOUS.

Alright, any questions leave us a comment here or on Facebook, Twitter or Instagram and we'll get back to you. See you on the Rooftops the Marriott Center ballroom!
