16. Walk a few blocks down to my friend Mindy Gledhill's house, sit on her couch and ask her to tell me about her six sisters



I didn't walk down a few blocks, instead she came to me. But Mindy was kind enough--in between writing her new album and jumping on the trampoline with her three blond boys--to come to my house with a black and white photo of all the seven sisters in her family and let me ask about each one.

All the stories in all the world start with families. And stories of sisters intrigue me the most.
