Love on the Rocks

I buy all my muu-muus at second-hand stores (can you believe people are donating these delights? Donating by the dozens! Their loss, our gain!). If you want to amass a vibrant collection like mine, all you have to do is start looking. With a wish and a solemn prayer, you too can have muu-muus of all sizes and colors. Like maroon, for example.

Muu muu shots taken by the living doll,
your friend and mine, Haley Ann Warner
in St. George Utah

p.s. I am helping get the word out about a camp for teenagers that teaches hard work and service called the Birch Creek Service Ranch. My efforts are somewhat selfish because I want to keep it around for my children. Read about it here.

I adore your muu-muus. Maybe St. George has a few, in light of it's snow bird status... I also think I will be contacting Haley for my next family pictures!

You look so beautiful in those pictures! Thanks for being awesome!

First, I think you're gorgeous. Second, I love the photos. Third, where is your other arm in the second photo?? I've spent way too much time this morning trying to figure out how you're posed to make your arm look like it's missing.. Please end my wondering.
Much love!

Man! I have been looking for a place like this for my kids. I missed the age limited by a hair. If you ever hear of a service camp that includes 16 year olds, let me know. I think this would be more beneficial that a week at EFY. Just sayin.

AWESOME. Except you ought to be wearing some of those fancy, healed house-slippers...

Sorry, can't get on board with the muu muus. I've watched too many episodes of What Not to Wear, but the background almost sells it.

Madge called, she's pretty sure that is Eunice's muu muu and she wants it back.

Love the Ranch post/link. Thanks so much.

You are a beautiful woman, but those muu muus...not so much. Peace.

You make muu muus look good like no one else can. When my son saw the pictures he said wow, the king of the mountains!

I knew I recognized the beautiful St George red rocks :)

I guess it's time to start haunting the Second hand stores for Muu Muus :)

Your muu-muus are hideous but hilarious. You though are not hideous...you are gorgeous in all your shots even though you are wearing hideous muu-muus.

My mother in law bought me a muu-muu for my bridal shower when I was 23. I was like...'no way in h.e.double hockey sticks am I wearing this thing' but smiled graciously while opening the gift. My poor husband would think that he married his mom. My mom and I secretly returned it the very next day. And that is MY muu-muu story.

I recognized those St. George red rocks right away! YOu look so great!

"can you believe people are donating these delights? Donating by the dozens"

Yes. Because they are hideous and not doing anybody any favors.

I'm cracking up! Mu mus are fashionable? Hilarious!!! Goodness, just go to the hardware store and tie a plastic curtain (maroon!) around yourself and take the same shots.

Courtney, you're pretty and photogenic regardless - but you don't need to prove that you can make wearing a tent look good!

A tent!

This is just too funny.

Throwing in the towel are we?

What not inspire to have a waist?

Poor Chup! What a vision... A sexless vision....

Oh dear, this is just too funny

If I looked like you in a muumuu, I would wear a muumuu! You look absolutely fabulous mama!

Kicking myself, could have given YOU my vintage Mu-mu from Hawaii. It just went to the thrift store.

Lovely shots of you :)

Hot stuff C Jane!!!

Um - clearly Courtney has embraced the un-sexy-ness of the muumuu and is owning it. The entire muumuu series is a bit tongue in cheek - are there really people out there that are not getting that?

Courtney you rock. In the immortal words of Bad Company - Don't you know that you are a shooting star? And all the world will love you just as long - as long as you are"

Excuse me, hi, I love you. And this is my first time commenting because reading some comments make me want to cry what people say to you. I love muuuuu muuu's (wouldn't it be funny if we moo'd like cows when we said that? No? Ok yes? Ok no? Ok let's move on...) i hope to see you in Provo in our moo moo's (see what I did there?) and we can fist bump and wink at each otherand whip our hair. Ok yes? No? Ok I'm moo'(v)ing on. Love you girl!!!

I want to know what day your birthday is because it is the week of my birth as well. Long lost twins? ...born 9 years apart?
Or maybe it's the same as Mia's :)

I have a muu-muu knock off. It's basically a sewn sheet, but it rocks! It's pretty much the only thing I'll wear around the house - SO comfy! Rock those muu-muu's, girl!

Want the truth? Ok. HOW HAVE I GONE THIS LONG WITHOUT YOUR BLOG GRACING MY PRESENCE? Today, I watched all of your video blogs with Your man. I died laughing. Just thought you should know. I think you are gorgeous and quite possibly the funniest person to ever blog a blog. Thanks for being yourself.

And just a side note: please keep doing dramatic readings of anonymous mean people. Because you get the last laugh, and every single time you come up with something awesome. Like bananas as weights. Naturally, because they have the better grip.

Ever notice that a muu-muu is just a glorified choir robe?

Fabulous!

why do people who have hateful things to say even post? didn't everyone's mom teach them "if you don't have anything nice to say, don't say anything at all?"
i love muu muu march! i don't own a muu muu...i think i might look like a big round ball wearing one, but you are totally owning the look! keep on being your rockin' self!

kelly said...

cjane - that muu-muu is hilarious! i really like it with those pants/jeans. i wouldn't think something that looks like a choir robe could look cute, but it does!

You look fantastic and the color of this one is beautiful!

The reason that I LOVE this muu muu is it resembles a graduation gown.

Did I miss an "I'm pregnant" post? Seriously, Jane, you are such a beautiful woman. Why, oh why would you drape yourself in a muu-muu?

Thought I'd come in here and sleep on the front row tonight so I'd be first in line to view the vlog tomorrow. I'm gonna sleep in my mumu and everything.
I can just hear the jealous gasps now.

I live in Thailand and the older ladies here wear muu-muus so naturally I had to have one. When I wear mine- (red...gift from my daughter), the kids call me "mommy muu-muu. :) :)). You are seriously hot in yours. I read every day- love your writing.

Muu muus are hot hot hot! Stay fabulous, girl!

I have fond memories of Muu Muus. My mom wore them all the time. I hated them when she wore them, but now that I am in my nifty-fifties I would love to wear them. There comes an age when comfort outdoes style. Love the pics!

Love these pictures! My son was looking over my shoulder while I was reading this, and said - is that you mommie?? Where were you? And I had to tell him it wasn't me, but he still didn't believe me!
