Two years ago the music community here in Utah was so incredibly generous to my family when we needed it. They performed and donated and combined their talents for fund-raising and entertaining our wary spirits. I would stay awake at nights wondering how I could give back to them and was always assured that there would be a way.
The way presented itself this summer as an opportunity to sponsor the Rooftop Concert Series, a place where we could showcase a lot of these charitable musicians and make it free to the public. Tonight we will get to hear from our dearest friends--the members of the Lower Lights who are undoubtedly going to put on one fine hymn revival.
Sadly, not all my readers (who also gave and gave to my family) live in driving distance, and so my friends, we are going to to make it possible for you to win their beautiful album. I am giving away ten of them in fact, ten albums to give to ten people. Leave a comment here so I know you are interested. You have until midnight (mountain time) on Sunday.

I live in the South, the Bible Belt. In an effort to keep the spirit of peace with me daily I try to listen to the variety of Christian music stations but the music is twangy, or whiny, or LOUD, or too ummm... different than the hymns of praise I am used to. The music of The Lower Lights is familiar and the Spirit speaks to me in small whispers.

I live in Texas, but after listening to the secret prayer rendition, I immediately downloaded the album on Itunes. I used Elders of Israel in my seminary class this morning. Love them all. Also contacted my Utah family to tell them they must go to this concert! Love what you are doing and only wish I could be there!

I've been green with envy hearing all about the rooftop concert series and wishing that we still lived in Provo, or that the concert series has happened about two years ago when we DID live there. :) I have loved ALL the music you've been posting - and if this song can make me dance in my computer chair before 8 in the morning, then I definitely need a copy. Nitwhitz here...from the strange, yet wonderful, faraway land of Dallas, Texas!! I love this music because not only can I enjoy it at 40something, but also so can my 23ish yr old AND my 11ish yr old daughters...and let me just say --it's SOOOO much more inspiring than the Lady Gaga racket blaring from various parts of my house day in/day out! I only wish they had these rooftop concerts when I was in Provo back in the early 80's! FUN! Oh...how will you EVER (shameless plug) decide!?
