I really enjoyed this, it's so lovely. A nice intimate atmosphere and everyone pitching in. What a beautiful voice she has!
WOW what a great way to begin Monday. Love your hair and I would love to know where you got your shirt!
really great!
:) Jess
beautiful. this is beautiful. everything--the dynamic in the room, the singing, the music. the atmosphere is lovely.
her voice is like an angel, seriously!
and ever is delightful. and your hair looks fabulous.
Wow, that gave me chills. Beautiful lights, beautiful voices, beautiful shirt on your cJane and gosh, that Ever!!
Those bells are fantastic.
i want to go to there.
agreed. lovely song and lovely room. and you play a mean tambourine.
LOVE your hair...it's making me want to cut my hair again :)
AND the tambourine-playing was exceptional.
Kelly
just have to tell you... my little guy (4) saw the guitar player, fuzzy hair, glasses wearing guy and said, "Hey Mama, that guy is on Yo Gabba Gabba. I didn't know he could sing like that!" Thought that would make you laugh.
Oh, that was such a good way to greet my Monday morning. I love Mindy Gledhill's voice, and would love it if she came to our little neck of the woods for a concert!
I am loving your hair too!
That was beautiful and touching. So much more than just a song. Thank you for sharing. :)
I don't know why that made me cry (happy tears) that hymn is so simple and so full of truth it really touched my heart. The feeling came from all the people in the room making music and it was so tender to see Mindy sing while she was holding that adorable little Ever.
beautiful! and never doubt the power of the tambourine. :)
Beautiful! Way to rock the tambourine! My sign in word was "shaker". I thought that was very appropriate!!!
You did great!! That is a beautiful song! You look thinner and I love your hair. I swear I am not trying to suck up.
JUST the tambourine? you kept 'em all in line and rocked that tambourine ;) that was really beautiful.
I want to hang out with you. You guys are cool.
holy guacamole, that was so lovely! i am now completely obsessed with those bells.
you rock on the tambourine, keep on blogging.
This was such a lovely video! so relaxed and intimate, I felt like I
I was spying on you!
oh, and how slim do you look? you look like you have just dropped a whole bunch of weight!
you go cjaney!
I KNEW those St. CJane candles would come in handy!
What an adorable video! Thanks CJane, Mindy, Ever and the gang.
And CJane, is that a saint candle I spy on the piano, nestled among the bells?
This is one of my favorite hymns and I love this rendition of it! I sing my baby to sleep with this song sometimes and he loves it too. :)
LOVE.
that was just lovely. thank you for sharing.
Silly to say, but it really did get me misty eyed listening. It was wonderful to be surrounded by such beautiful music this morning. I really felt the spirit of the music. Like a hug, Lovely.
I thought your blog was to spread joy & good cheer.... all this does is make me jealous! ;-)
You and all your cool friends being all cool and popular-like.... I feel like the kid sitting alone at the lunch table, spying on you all out of the corner of my eye!
Have fun!
I love these people. And the tambourine is harder to play than most know, you killed it. It will be a great show!
Lovely music from a group of obviously lovely people whose camaraderie is sincere and joyful.
That was really sweet. I loved it! This is an amazing cd. I love, love, love it! I downloaded it last week from itunes and can't stop listening to it! It's my go-to music this month. The singing in the shower music, driving in the car music, Sunday morning music, every time music.
I teach seminary to an all girl class and we rocked out to "Ye Elders of Israel" last week after studying D&C 4. They loved it! I wish we could be on the roof top hearing it live.
Thanks for sharing that video morning.
Love this. Made me cry with it's sweetness.
Seriously beautiful. I love it. (I'l admit it. I kinda cried a little) :)
What CD is @DM talking about? I'd love to know! I totally enjoyed that song! Such talent!
What a fun, appropriate and beautiful Sunday Jam Session!! Loved it.
I want to hear what CD it is too! Is this the same gal that sings on that Child Lullaby CD? Mykids listen to that EVERY night. Gorgeous in all its simplicity!
I am in the clear minority. It was nearly impossible to hear the singing and I thought the video was mediocre at best.
The Lower Lights CD can be found here
Mindy does sing on all 3 Deseret Book lullabies albums
Just look at your weight loss! You look great, and Miss Ever's cheeks do look good enough to eat.
I absolutely lost myself in this rendition. THANK YOU! Such beauty and joy in music. (also one of my favorite songs)
The Lower Lights CD is fabulous!
So so lovely. I went right over and bought the Lower Lights album to play in the car with my sweet boys (even though the boys and my husband are Jewish and don't often hear songs about Jesus, I think them listening to a few songs about Jesus in an album full of beautiful hymns that I love and everyone can appreciate, is amazing compared to having my 7 year old ask me what "get up on your disco stick" means in a Lady Gaga song ... I told him it was a light saber for dancing - and that was the end of top 40 radio for my children).
Between this and Mindy's new album, I think we have our singing in the car music covered (until you release your solo tambourine album - we'll be all over that too!)
Now, how to get to Provo for October 1st ...
Love your hair like that!! So cute!! I hate to say this...but....Ever stole the show from all of you. :P
It was so lovely! You have such a special group of friends. Yes, I can admit I have friend envy:)
its a lovefest here...
love. love. loved it!
(and Ever made it all the more sweet!)
*Cut to me singing*
Hey ! Mrs. Tambourine wo-Man, play a song for me
I'm not sleepy and there is no place I'm going to
Hey ! Mrs. Tambourine wo-Man, play a song for me
In the jingle jangle morning I'll come followin' you.
Though I know that evenin's empire has returned into sand
Vanished from my hand
Left me blindly here to stand but still not sleeping
My weariness amazes me, I'm branded on my feet
I have no one to meet
And the ancient empty street's too dead for dreaming.
Be jealous Mindy and Lower Lights.
Be jealous.
I want to sit on a porch on my imaginary farm, and eat meatloaf and drink lemonade with those Lower Lights guys.
They make me want to pick up a banjo and braid my hair.
LOVE THEM.
Hey.
My word verification is "hyper".
As if.
feels like i'm watching something as wonderful as the beatles colaborate with buble or something? intimate and like it's the birth of a soon to be ledgendary group.
At least you didn't have to bop the right bell at just the right moment..that could've been intense!
this is so fabulous.
Perfection! I love that Mindy was holding Ever, I wish I had an ounce of Mindy's talent. Wish I lived closer, I would so totally come!
Beautiful - Sure wish I could go.
& I'd love to know where you can find those bells on the piano.
But you were there. You added your spice. You showed up and you shook it, and if you think about it, isn't that the way we're supposed to live?
Show up and shake it.
I am so smitten with lower lights...can I just say I'm already ready for albums 2, 3 & 4!!!!! Thank you for such inspiring work!
Oh yeah...you're hair is totally hot!
Love it! I can't stop listening to it! Seriously want it for my ipod!!!
i loved it! thanks! :) loved her singing with ever in her arms, too. awww!
Geo seems like the coolest person.
that was really nice.
Just beautiful!!! I have listened to this many times since first hearing it last night. Then I ran over and bought the cd, happy we don't have to wait tho cause it also came with a download too!! Wooohooo, adding it to my daughter's Ipod now!!
Thank you so much for letting us into your truly blessed life! Also, thank you for introducing my daughter and I to Mindy's beautiful voice, I bought 3 of her cd's last night and can't wait to get them!! So wished we lived closer so we could come to the roof top concerts!!
MY FAVORITE HYMN OF ALL TIME!!!! Thank you for the Zen Moment.
(a mother really needs a zen moment at 11:30pm.)
And your hair, girlie. Serious sass.
oh i so needed this right at this moment. beautiful! thank you!!
I danced with my one year old while the song played. She closed her eyes and threw her head back squeeling with glee, while I spun her around. It was one of those moments you want to freeze in your memory forever. Thanks, I loved it!
Oh my goodness Cjane. Can I just tell you how cool I think you are. I am currently at BYU-I following my dreams and it is such a wonderful thing to check into your life everyday. Gives me a glimpse of goodness during the hard times up here!! YOu are wonderful and brave and just who I want to be when I grow up!! Or even if I never grow up...I still want to be like you!
With all the love in my heart!
Mikayla
That was just perfect. Loved it.
ok so I am really super late with this comment...but i just watched that video and it made me cry! the part that got me was when Mindy picked up your sweet ever and kissed her and held her so sweet and tender! I thought how lucky for that little girl to be around so much great music and people who love her as their own!
Also Cjane you look AWESOME! seriously you are turning into a skinny mini! I so wished i lived in provo to go to this concert!
Oh my goodness! How beautiful! Now I will be singing this tune all day and what a better tune to sing? I think I remember Scott from when he was in Honeytree so very long ago? I think?
